Our story…
It’s that time of year again to support and honor our sweet, Drew! Since last year, Drew has shown HUGE progress in all aspects of his life!
In July of 2024, we started in-clinic ABA therapy at Harmony Behavioral Services in Crestwood, and oh what a BLESSING they have been! Drew quickly learned to communicate using The Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) in the clinic and at home. After seeing his independence increase across multiple settings with PECS, Drew was taught to communicate via his Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Device. He is now averaging 34 independent mands (requests) a session and he’s impressing us every day with his new form of communication! Drew has not only increased his communication skills, but has mastered 102 targets across all skill domains.
He most recently started at Oldham County Preschool with an IEP in January of this year! His teachers and therapists say that he is thriving and adjusting very well!
We couldn’t be more proud of our boy and we can’t wait to see all the mountains he will continue to move! ❤️🧩🙌🏼✝️ #DrewStrong
